I read a facebook meme this week that said, "if there is no light at the end of the tunnel, turn around because you are in a cave." I know it was silly but it brightened my day and helped me charge on through out the day. Today I got a little bit of good news. The new (potential) owner of the apt complex called me to let me know that he has put out a list of demands with the old owner to buy the place. If he agree's to make those repairs he'll take over and buy the property.
If that happens we get to stay so cross your fingers and toes. Hopefully this whole homeless experience will just be a momentary "cave" we went through one summer. My friend Sarah (hi if you're still reading I know my blogs can be dark) commented on my blog twice and it really made me feel like I was worthy and capable. Im not sure how or why but Im not going to over analyze any positive emotion I get.
I also got to talk to two friends on the phone today and both of them listened to me even though it wasn't about my depression it filled me with hope that this will all be over soon (in a positive direction).
I hope this is a cave,
SVJ
Hello there. I decided to check in on you since I didn't hear from you in response, but I see you did respond in a few ways. I just didn't get notified. You're very welcome. I know what it feels like to feel like your'e alone in something and feel like you need to vent and have someone to talk to. I really hope and will pray that your apartment situation ends up okay and you won't have to look for a place to live. It will be nice to get a new owner too since you seem to have problems with the current one off and on. Try to keep your chin up, there are good days and bad days! Not everyday can be a good day. But when you have a good day, you will realize that it is all worth it.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah, and just as luck would have it this blog didn't tell me you responded either. I just found your comment randomly. I got a new med today and I am hopeful for the 'stay" at the "old" apt but if not I hope it directs us to something better. Potentially the new owner if he doesn't buy the place....he owns other properties so maybe he can help us find one in one of his? IDK we shall see. :) Thank you for reaching out. You are one of three friends that cared to read, and one of two who responded xoxo SVJ
DeleteSorry to see on facebook that the new person buying the apartments did not work out. I am going to pray for you and I'm sorry that things are going this way. But you are stronger then you think and you can make it through. I hope you can get the help you need to get into a place. Even if it's a studio apartment or something temporary until things get figured out. Big hugs and good luck.
